Gary: What took me to the path of investing and investing alone vs farming out to a fund manager or advisor? One can only be true with your own money. No one bother whether you make or lose money more than yourself. Does profitable investing improve life? It sure does. Being profitable allow one to have more choices in life. Have you ever go to a restaurant wanting to eat the best food but was put off by the price? Or simply buying a 3k bicycle put you off? Extra enrichment classes for kids but can’t afford the extra moolah. Having extra money does allow you more choices and time. There are only two problem with money, is either enough or not enough. Let’s be frank,money can’t solve every problems in life and there are problem associating with having too much money. Ask yourself which set of problems do you want to face. Problem associated with too much money or problem associated with too little money? The choice is obvious. Value investing is a slow process of accumulation of wealth. No quick bucks here sorry. My journey of value investing has been a fruitful one. I hope yours will be equally or more rewarding. Happy investing
