Bank of China(3988.HKG) 3.)  Boustead Projects(BP) *Stocks are not rank in accordance to capital invested .  *Just for sharing. Not an inducement to buy or sell . Commentary   The biggest headline of the month was FTX bankruptcy. The spectacular failure of FTX had all the making of a Hollywood blockbuster. SBF came from being a hero to zero in a mere 3 years. The once 32b business managed to pull wool over some of the biggest investors in the world including our SWF. The “bank man got fried” investing in the company. Billions were loss. Many people loss their saving.  Every generation of investors are likely to see some sort of bubble in their lifetime. Some investors might asked “why invest in Crypto, there is no fundamental behind it?” I like everyone to hold your horses on criticism. If I substitute S-Chip(Singapore listed Chinese company), Pan Electric or the 2000s tech bubble, does my

Wolf Money(book recommendation)

(Contents) I haven’t been catching up on my reading over the past 2 weeks due to the need to organise renovation workflow for my house. What I did managed was to complete the book by Emily Guy Birken titled “End Financial Stress Now”. The book is timely read given the rising mortgage rate and a corrective financial market which may bring about greater financial stress. The book taught the reader the concept of money and how to improve one financial well-being. The book start out by asking what does money mean to you and why is it important. In his views. Money is respect-Dressing professionally does give a sense of affluent. People tend to give better service when one drive a nice car into a hotel. Money is security-Money provide a sense of security as living without money can be terrifying. Money is freedom-Money does give one the freedom to pursue the lifestyle and interest which they may desired. Money is success-Money can be seen as a basic indicator for success even thou one can

Wolf Money(Singapore Savings Bonds Dec 2022 review)

Image
It is time for Singapore Savings Bonds review. The average yield for Dec 2022 issue if one holds the bond for 10 years is an astonishing 3.47%. First year yield is at 3.26%. The kind of yield investors are getting for their SSB used to be the coupon rate of a 7 years corporate bond issued by government link companies just a year ago(risk involved vs risk free). We are likely to see keen interest for the bond. I am expecting most applications are likely to get a range of 8k-11k if you applied let said 20k and above. Closing date is on the 25th Nov 9pm. Good luck. Wolf Bargain(Daiso top 5 X’mas gift ideas)

Image
As we approach thanksgiving and X’mas, a lot of gifts will be given and received. It is always a blessing to be receiving festive gifts from friends and relatives. Buying gifts can be such a headache and financial burden for some. The pressure of gifting can be overwhelming. I always believe it is the thought that counts whether one received an expensive gift or not. Daiso is a well known chain stores that offer value for money household items. Most of the items are sold at $2.15 with a few exception. My mission today is to find items(all $2.15) that look more expensive than their actual worth. I did a good rummage at the store and these are my top five bargains. Aroma therapy oil It is not uncommon for Aroma therapy oil to cost $30-$40 a bottle. Great for people trying to find some zen in a corrective “Stonks” Market/“Cryptoast” Market. Teriyaki Sauce The made in Singapore sauce is great for people who are pulling their hair what recipe of Turkey should they be cooking. Teriyaki Tur

The company is guiding better profit compare to last year. Overall I think it is a good start to the new financial year after the lifting of covid restrictions in Singapore. The company is in a net cash of 155m about 49.5c cash per share even after the big purchase of Bideford Building. Asset value stood at $1.265.   (Credit : Mark Möbius LinkedIn,I forget to take a snapshot of the book cover🤦‍♂️) The book titled “The Inflation Myth and The Wonderful World of Deflation” by former legendary Templeton fund manager Mark Möbius discussed the topic on misinformation of inflation. The book was published before the current inflationary madness plaguing the world.  Another term to describe inflation is currency debasement. If one substitute inflation with currency debasement, the narrative become clearer. Over centuries many irresponsible government from the Roman Empire to the modern day political office went through period of overspending (books balancing skill lacking, accounting wise). During Roman Empire, government start chipping away the gold and silver content in coins to pass it off as full gold and silver coins. The full gold and silver content during Augustus reign was reduced to only one five of thousandth(equaling 0.0002) by Aurelian Reign, unable to reduce the gold and silver further, Aure
