The legit and the illegal. “ Remember the Time ” when a friend named “ Billie Jean ” sold you an investment that promised high return. Money gone and the friend no where to be found. At least for regulated products, investors still have legal recourse through Fidrec or the court. Some scams are hard to detect. They are sold with no clear definitions in “ Black or White .” Most scams disguise as unregulated investment, operating within the grey zone. All scams should be dealt with extra care. If the amount lost is small, it creates uncertainty over one’s ability to trust. If the amount is big, it creates a financial black hole, causing stress and eventually self-destruction.   (Source: MAS) The result of SSBs came as no surprise. $179.4m found buyer. Our 10-year SGS is slowly moving up higher towards its 52 weeks range. It is just a few base off the year high. Our 10-year SGS is mimicking higher yields across the globe. One suggestion I can give, is for MAS to look into an increase the 200k limit per CDP account. More than $16m would have been able to buy SSBs if not for the per issue or total limit.  It has been more than 10 years since MAS adjusted the upper limit on SSBs. An increase to 300k per account will be needed to keep pace with money supply. There will be a bump up in yields for next month SSBs. Good luck and God Bless.
