Wolf Bargain(nostalgic coffeeshop)
The weekend is here. If you have some time to explore Singapore. There is an old coffee shop,I mean really really old and nostalgic coffee shop which might be worth exploring along North Bridge Road. The coffee shop has been in operation for close to 50 years. It is run by the dynamic duo of Mr. Shi and son team. There are probably less than 10 of those old school coffeeshop left in Singapore.
I always admire the father and son team for their passion to keep their traditional business going. They only sell toasty, half boiled eggs, coffee and nothing else.
Times are definitely better now due to social media as more and more people want to experience the taste of traditional toasty and coffee. It wasn’t the case during the early 2000s where the coffeeshop was struggling to attract new customers, only seniors were patronising.
Do expect a long waiting time to get served. Some of the must have are their toasty and butter coffee. I always like to have my kopi O along with my toast. A single slice of toast and kopi O add up to $1.40 and the butter is thick. That is what I call a wolf bargain.
Have a Good Friday toasting.
