Wolf Bargain(BTS)

(The coffeeshop at Blk 17 Beach Road)

B T S have officially become the most marketable 3 letters word in the world. I have decided to test out if my blog does indeed get an increase number of viewerships just by including these 3 letters word. I have coined my own BTS.  What is Wolf Bargain BTS? Mc Donald meal? Hyundai car? Korean boy band? Wolf Bargain BTS is Briyani To Salivate 😁 ✌️. Chey!!!! Before you skip my blog, give me a couple of minutes to sell you a taste extravaganza. This is no ordinary Nasi Briyani. The stall is located at Blk 17 Beach Road coffee shop. It has been in continue operation for more than 35 years. Previously nobody know the name of the stall because there is no signage to be found. People just conveniently call it Beach Road Nasi Briyani or army market coffeeshop Nasi Briyani. Finally this month after an extensive renovation of the coffeeshop. The stall reopened with a signage which “Koothurar Beach Road Briyani” now hanged proudly. The coffeeshop is just across Army Market aka Golden Mile Food Centre, great for Army or Non Army personnel looking for a proper men meal after shopping for camping or SAF paraphernalia.

(The photo doesn’t do justice to the wonderful taste of the briyani)

I have been eating their briyani for 30 years and they have stay gold standard till today. The unique selling point of their briyani is their rice and mutton. The rice is light and fluffy, not oily. I have tasted other briyani rice before that was literally soaked in oil that felt like an oil tanker shipwreck hitting your mouth. This is the “healthy version” of the briyani. The spices in the rice is not overpowering. The rice is smooth like a butter, pull you in like no other. It also has a nice aromatic flavour. It makes you want to finish every single grain of it. The mutton is well cooked, the meat just fell apart when you launched it into your mouth. The flavour just exploded like a dynamite. The mutton curry is not overly salted. Each briyani cost 7 dollars. It come with a hard boil egg.  Chicken briyani is also available for non hardcore which is equally tasty.

(Queue queue and more queue)
(The snaking long queue on a Sunday afternoon)

Warning, double warning!!! The queue is damn long. It snaked half way round the block. The reopening of the stall after 2 months of break from renovation had launched the fans of the briyani into some sort of euphoria. Just look at the photos. If one can get past the 1 to 2 hrs wait, the Briyani is worth every ounce of that effort. Boy with luv is what you going to feel after the meal. Best timing to go is before 10.45am. BTS for breakfast? anyone? 😆
