Wolf Money(book recommendation)
The book written by Joanne Lai “Money Lessons from the Wild” used animals role playing to explain financial topics in a simplistic way. This book is most helpful for parents whom have kids age 7-12. I am sure parents with young kids will like to inculcate good money habits to their children early. The book use simple examples and illustrations to explain concept of money. The author has cleverly used animal characters to get the kids interested and to explain topic like compounding interest in form of planting more apple trees(saving) and adding fertilisers(compounding) eventually achieving more apples during harvest(return). As Albert Einstein quote goes “Compounding interest is the eight wonder of the world. He who understands it,earn it and he who doesn’t, pays it”. There are also some exercises where the parent and kids could get involved by comparing prices of soft drinks at different locations.
Teaching financial subjects to the young kids can be tough but this book does make it light work. Most parent can finished the thin book within 1 or 2 days. Kids 7-12 years old could read it with guided explanations. The books goes onto the Lone Wolf Investor book recommendation for making the work of explaining financial subjects to kids a lot easier.
