Monetary Authority of Singapore is issuing a coin to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of our founding Prime Minister, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew. The coin is legal tender and has a face value of $10. The coin makes an excellent return on investment with no downside risk given it is legal tender at $10. I speculate it might sell above face value on secondary market. Each coin will be sold at $10. There is a limit of maximum 5 coins per person. Each will be given at least 1 coin per application with 2 coins or more subject to balloting. Only Singaporean and PR need to apply. Non Singaporean have to wait for general exchange at banks if there are any uncollected coins. Closing date is on the 9th of June 2023.
