(Image credit: Wikipedia; Chicago Bulls) Bulls or fools? In 1998, the Chicago Bulls won their last NBA title. It was their sixth and final one. Michael Jordan had previously inspired a generation of mine to play basketball. Many people including myself still believe, Michael Jordan, is still the best player in NBA history. The free scoring shooting guard helped Chicago win their 6th NBA title. While fans were celebrating the victory, economic malaise was spreading like wildfire in South East Asia. The Asian Financial Crisis was triggered by the devaluation of the Thai Baht. Many stock markets in ASEAN were in free falling mode for the past year. Massive unemployment caused street protests in many ASEAN countries. Some companies in Singapore were hit by the massive devaluation of the Indonesian rupiah. By the time, index bottomed out at 939 points, two months after the Bulls’ win. Many investors have suffered huge losses. Properties were on fire sales with some units going at a 50...

Wolf Money(Singapore Savings Bonds Aug 2025 review)

The yield on our government securities is in a steep decline. 6 months T-Bill is giving 1.79% only, far cry from the days when it was above 3%. Investors who are doing the T-bill ladder will be getting much less returns, almost half compared to those issues one year ago. Given the context of the overall decline in interest rates. SSBs yield does look a hair more attractive than the T-Bill with first year yield at 3 base points higher and an average 10 year yield of 2.29% . The closing date is on the 28th July@9pm. God Bless.   The below article is for educational purpose only. Kindly refrain from taking any action. It shouldn’t constitute as an investment advice. Please read the disclaimer . Good morning, I usually don’t comment on partial sales of my share, but due to substantial interest in the stock and for the benefit of transparency. I have decided to disclose my partial sale of another 20% of my holdings due to the share breaking my trail stop. The sale has allow me to lower my holding cost to below sub 20c. The goal is to fully recover my invest dollar back. With the sale, I am holding 50% of my original position. It also put the Lone Wolf Fund in a favourable position to make a profit in Banyan barring any catastrophic event. The latest sale provided a gain of more than 57%. I will continue to hold the share with strict trail stop strategy in place. Thank you. God Bless.
