  Another year, another SSBs issue. Using February 2026 SSBs 2.25% as an inflation hedge for 10 years is a poor choice, but if you are looking for a fixed deposit to place. SSBs provide another alternative. The first year of 1.35% and the second year of 1.47% is slightly higher than most fixed deposit rate offered by the banks.
