Wolf Bargain(Buddha’s Delight)

(The most beautiful Buddhist temple in my opinion) The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple located near Sago Lane has to be one of the most beautiful Buddhist temple in Singapore in my opinion. Although I am not a Buddhist but I am spellbound by the architectural marvel of this building. The grandeur of the temple drew curious tourists from all over the world, with many striking their best pose in front of the temple for a memorable snapshot. Lian Xin Vegan Restaurant   For years, I never know there is a Vegan food court located in the basement of the temple. The entrance and signage to Lian Xin food court is not prominently displayed, a keen eye is needed to spot the entrance. I give it a nickname “Secret Vegan Foodcourt”. There are plenty of Vegan varieties which I never would have imagined. Besides the Vegetarian Bee Hoon and Mixed Rice(Caifan). There are Western Food and noodles to choose from. All desserts and drinks are available at $1 each. My plate of Vegetarian Bee Hoon and Coffee O c

Wolf Money(10 things you need to know about Boustead S’pore agm 2023)

Image
(The legendary Chairman of Boustead S’pore a.k.a the Warren Buffett of Singapore) The 2023 edition of Boustead’s agm took place in Suntec City Convention on the 28th July 2023, the first time in 3 years a physical meeting was held. One could feel the excitement, the camaraderie between the shareholders and management were on full display. The vibe was similar to a family reunion. I was just as excited to see Mr. Wong, the BODs and other shareholders. This was the best shareholders’ meeting I had attended this year, period! Management was straight to the point, no beating around the bush and no bs. The questions asked during the agm were top notch. I am mightily impressed by the sophistication of some questions asked by shareholders. Below are the 10 things you need to know about Boustead S’pore agm 2023. (The agm was well attended, close to 120 shareholders were present) 1.) Let’s get the buffet out of the way because there was none. Each shareholder was given a snack box with a bottle

A reminder of the Singapore Miracle Happy Birthday to my beloved country, Singapore, a place where I call home. If Singapore was a listed company which could be bought and sold like any other securities on the stock exchange, the “Singapore stock” would have made you close to 159x return in 58years. Singapore GDP per capita started at a mere USD $500 in 1965 had risen to USD $82,000 by end of 2022. On Aug 9th 1965, a country barely half the size of London with no natural resources and 2m population comprised of mostly the poor and the hungry set out to be a new Nation with huge odd stacked against her. Our pioneer generation was given the daunting task of undertaking Project Singapore, creating jobs and attracting investments into our country. With sheer luck and ingenuity, a miracle of atomic proportion was born out of wedlock. Once again here to the Grand Old Lady, Happy 58th National Day, Singapore! 🥂  Mental Wellness  Coco Lee’s sudden death shocked the world of entertainment. A

The result for Aug 2023 issue SSBs was under subscribed again. Roughly 50% of the 600m issue found buyers. I thought at 2.99% risk free for 10 years was not too shabby, maybe all the money had flown into 6 months T-Bills. Yield for Sept SSBs is likely to be similar to Aug issue.
